PHYTONOZ

PHYTONOZ is a post-apocalyptic retro FPS currently in development.

It's powered by Little Angine by Little Angel, a modest little engine that does the job, programmed with Game Maker Studio 1.4.9999.
The game is being developed entirely by a single person.

 
Its features are :
 
- Global Illumination rendering (Radiosity + shadows)
- 3D collision of simple geometric shapes
- Terrain management
- Hitscan or non-hitscan weapons
- Enemies displayed as sprites
- AI that's not too stupid
- Crowd management
- Lightwave 3D format for editing levels
- Management of a scripted timeline
- Blood and wall impacts
- MIP mapping

The level editor is Lightwave 3D, one of the first computer graphics software packages, which is a little forgotten today, and which has the particularity of having a separate Modeler and Scene editor.

Everything is modelled and textured under the Modeler. Level editing is carried out via the Scene editor (Layout), as is the export of all information relating to terrain, collisions and scene lighting. The software's practical format saves datas in text format. There are then several proprietary scripts retrieve the informations in a format optimised for Game Maker Studio.
